Why doesn't AI recommend our Korean skincare product even though we have an English product page?
What can an English product page still be missing?
A translated page can name a product without explaining why it fits the shopper’s question. Give each US version a clear English page with its approved ingredients, size, texture, intended use, seller and purchase link. Keep the formula and claims specific to the product sold in the US.
OpenAI’s product-feed specification, checked September 17, 2026, requires item identity, title, description, product URL, brand, seller, image, availability and price. Keep variants separate: a travel size or a different market’s formulation should not inherit another product’s facts.
For “Which Korean moisturizers have a lightweight gel texture?”, the page needs to state the texture in readable product copy. Translating a product name and ingredient list does not supply that answer.
Will a product feed solve the problem?
Keep the website and feeds consistent. OpenAI’s integration guide describes feeds as a source of current catalog information; direct onboarding is available to approved partners. Check access before promising a custom integration.
For eligible stores, Shopify’s ChatGPT channel supports product discovery through Shopify Catalog and sends shoppers to the merchant’s checkout. Shopify also documents web crawling as a separate discovery route. These are ways to make information available, not evidence that a specific product has been recommended.
Why must US purchase information agree?
Check the exact offer a US shopper can buy. Compare the product page, feed and retailer listing for the same size, formula, currency, stock status and delivery destination.
Google Merchant Center’s specification, checked September 17, 2026, requires product price and availability to agree with the landing page and checkout. Google’s product documentation describes both on-page structured data and Merchant Center feeds. Those requirements concern Google product experiences; they do not establish ChatGPT’s ranking rules.
Why inspect the sources in the AI answer?
Inspect the sources in the actual answer before translating more content. Record whether a claim comes from the brand, an authorized retailer, a review or an editorial comparison. Verify the product version, date and evidence behind each claim. A reviewer’s experience remains a review, not proof that an ingredient treats a condition.
What does SearchD improve first?
SearchD starts with the agreed US buyer questions and the sources ChatGPT uses. It compares those answers with approved product facts, then prepares the page, feed or supporting-content changes the evidence calls for. The K-beauty guide provides example questions; the 12-week plan explains the engagement. For listing disagreements, use the Amazon and brand-site checklist.

Does a Shopify connection guarantee ChatGPT will recommend my skincare brand?
No. Shopify describes catalog access as a way for eligible products to be discovered. Whether your brand appears for a particular question still needs to be measured.
Should a brand measure mentions, citations and purchases as one result?
No. Record the brand mention, the linked source and the store visit separately. A mention does not establish a click or a sale.
