Privacy policy
What we collect
Three things. First, what you type into the report request form: your website and your work email. Second, the request logs our host keeps — page, referrer, approximate country and device type. Third, usage analytics, described below.
The analytics uses cookies. We run two of them, PostHog and Google Analytics, and each sets a first-party cookie so that a return visit is recognised as the same visit rather than a new one. Between them they record which pages you viewed, where you arrived from, roughly where you are, your browser and device, and what you clicked.
What it does not record. Session recording is off, so no video of your screen is captured. Values you type are masked before anything is sent, so the analytics never receives what you entered in the report form — that reaches us only when you press send, through the form itself. Google Analytics runs with Google Signals and ad personalisation both switched off, so what it collects is not joined to an advertising profile of you and cannot be used to build an audience to retarget. We do not use advertising cookies, we do not run retargeting pixels, and we do not sell or share your data with data brokers.
How to switch it off. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal we honour it and collect nothing. Neither analytics script loads, no cookie is set, and no request reaches either provider. You can also block or clear the cookies in your browser settings, or email us and we will delete what is held against you.
Why we collect it
Form data is used to produce and send the AI visibility report you asked for, and to reply to you about it. The lawful basis is performance of a service you requested. Our host’s request logs and the analytics above are kept on the basis of legitimate interest in serving, securing and improving the site.
How long we keep it
Report submissions are kept for 24 months so we can re-run a comparison if you come back. Host request logs follow Vercel’s own retention, and analytics events follow PostHog’s and Google’s. Email correspondence is kept for as long as the business relationship is active, plus the period required by Korean tax law for any invoiced work.
Who else sees it
Our hosting provider (Vercel), our two analytics providers (PostHog and Google), our transactional email provider, and the CRM where we track your request so we can follow it up. Each processes data on our instruction only. We do not pass your details to any client, partner or agency.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@searchd.ai and we will action it within 30 days. You do not need to give a reason, and asking will not affect any work in progress.
If you are in the EU or UK and think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to your national supervisory authority. If you are in California, the CCPA gives you the same rights and you can complain to the California Privacy Protection Agency.
