A small firm that measures one thing.

Searchd is based in Seoul and measures one thing for Asian consumer brands: whether AI assistants name them in their export markets. We will take a small number of clients because the work is research-shaped and does not scale by adding account managers.

Why this exists

The Korean and Japanese brands we built this for have spent years getting very good at product and paid social, and very little time on the English-language record of what their products are. That was survivable while discovery was a ranked list.

It stopped being survivable when the answer became a paragraph. A model reads the English corpus for your category, picks a shortlist, and states their specifications as fact. If the corpus about you is thin or written by a distributor, you are not in the paragraph — and whatever it says about you is what your buyer believes.

A measurable, fixable problem. So we measure it.

Snow Lee has spent the last decade building software, and putting AI to work inside more than 500 companies — self-reported as of September 2026, from software work that predates this practice and is not published under this name. He runs Searchd from Seoul.

That decade is in software, not in AEO. This practice is months old and its own named rate still reads zero — which is why the report is free and the retainer stops billing at day 90 if your named rate has not improved beyond the noise floor, aggregate across all five engines.

Each market is scoped as its own panel. A Japan panel is built against @cosme, LIPS, Rakuten and Amazon.co.jp — not a translation of the US one — and a UK panel against Boots, Cult Beauty, Mumsnet and Amazon.co.uk. Being named in one market is not being named in another, which is why we price and measure them separately. We do not cover Yahoo! Japan, and say so. Today one panel is running: our own, in the US.

How we work

Three commitments, all of them checkable.

We publish the number

Our own named rate is on the results page, updated monthly, including the months it falls. An AEO agency that hides its own measurement is asking you to take the one thing it sells on faith.

You keep the data

Panels, transcripts and source logs in CSV. If you leave, everything we measured goes with you.

We do not touch your claims without sign-off

Nothing about SPF, concentration, weight limits or age ranges is published without your compliance owner confirming it. Getting named is not worth a regulatory problem.
