2 of 5 — one question’s contribution to a named rate measured over forty.
Searchd builds panels in four parts: roughly 40 percent category questions (“best sunscreen for oily skin”), 30 percent attribute questions tied to the brand’s differentiator, 20 percent comparison questions naming a competitor, and 10 percent brand questions about the brand directly.
Brand questions are the smallest slice on purpose. Being named when the buyer already typed your name tells you very little. The commercially interesting number is how often you appear when they did not.
Questions are built from the brand’s own language where we can get it — search console query strings, reviews, support tickets, and how people phrase things in category forums — rather than from a keyword tool, because assistants are asked in sentences, not keywords.
